Biology w/ Connect Plus Biology with LearnSmart Access Card Peter Raven Books Reviews
This text vacillates between too shallow and too in-depth. It's poorly written with misleading and erroneous information. It also presents evolution as if there is no room for doubt, but, of course, it does not back up overly-aggressive assertions with facts. It's also more boring (except for a disturbing picture of a lion eating a baby giraffe) than a tax bulletin. I'm eager to learn, and this text is letting me down in a lot of ways.
The product that I purchased was supposed to contain a hard back copy of Biology with a LearnSmart Access Card but when I received my package, there was no Access Card included. Since the school year was already underway when the package arrived during the two week mailing period, I was completely hung out to dry for not having access to my online homework, had to return the book, and order another one. I would have at least expected an offer to ship a new copy, including the Access Code, with expedited shipping at no extra cost since I had already waited two weeks at that point but no such offer was made from the customer service representative, so I purchased a new copy elsewhere.
I bought the used one, and it does not come with Connect Plus. It was used, but well taken care of, it is still good priced.
Great biology text book, I really learned a lot through this text, and kinda wished I kept it.
Excellent book
This was a textbook...
did a great job in fulfilling this order. Received before eta. The connect portion of this book is a great resource for studying. The learnsmart module is a quiz over the chapter with a few hundred variety of questions. You'll have access to an online version of the book just incase say if ur at school and don't have your book but need to lookup certain text (you can search for key words like chloroplast and it will return a list of every paragraph with the word chloroplast).
