Though this was extremely similar to another book by another author that I just read recently, 3 things stood out for me that made the difference between it and so many other books. One was that when the MC decides to come out, not everyone was so happy about it. It's a bit annoying when an MC comes out to friends & family, and absolutely everyone either says "oh I already knew" or "I don't care, I just want you to be happy". Not saying friends & family are never accepting, but 100% of the people you know or associate with being happy and/or comfortable is not realistic to me. Another thing I liked is when Corbin found out the truth, he didn't get all over-the-top, soap-opera dramatic, throwing things & screaming about being lied to. I hate that. He did get upset, but he was open & honest with his feelings without causing a downward spiral in the story. Third, when Slade got recognized in the bar. Of course he did! Do you know how dumb it is to have a character whose only disguise is a ball cap, yet NO ONE recognizes them? Why do other writers think that makes sense?Overall, I liked the story, I liked the MCs, and I liked the romance between them, even if it did grow pretty fast. The only thing I didn't care for was the ending. The story just kind of dropped off, for readers to put 2 and 2 together or to create their own HEA in their heads. There is no HEA, not even an HFN. An epilogue would've have been great.

Center Stage edition by Sara York Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Without an epilogue, i wonder if the writer has the start of a serial in mind? With a romance, I demand an ending with all plotlines tied up. I realise that the writer thinks she has probably done this but i like all the i's dotted and the t's crossed. Aside from this, there were no typos that i could see, the dialogue was good and the characterisations spot-on. it would have been four stars but for the sudden (arty?) ending.
